Rebekah will be an additional character to better sculpt the first aspect of this very long tale. We will bounce around in time for a bit then we will settle in for nice jaunt.
She stood five feet even with strawberry hair and no eyebrows. I was madly in love. I’m 21, she is 19. We were married while in our first year of college and immediately ruined everything by creating adult content and posting it for money. We were prostitutes for two years. The seeds of our eventual divorce were pushed deep. But if we had not done those things; had the world not flung itself into mayhem on all sides, I may not have met the characters of my current work: Timothy Day, and Darcy, and Sheriff Greer. As frightening as the world these characters inhabit can be, I love sitting in the tree tops on a clear night, just watching; I watch Tim work on his short story. I watch Tim drown in his mental illnesses.
You’ll get to know Tim soon enough and the others.
At any rate, where was I? Shoot. Oh, wait, I remember–while still freshly married, I noticed something about my art. I was writing a novel at the time and every time I lost myself in my mental writing space, I brought back many unsavory character traits with me. That first novel wasn’t nearly as dark as the novel I’m currently working on now and that darkness is creeping out in new and interesting ways.
Divorce can drive a person crazy, but only a few things can make it right.
